Beautiful Clouds

Do you ever wonder how something so beautiful can be so dangerous? And we wonder why we were in a tornado warning? As I was outside taking pictures, the girls were watching the news and they said, "Now is not the time to be outside taking pictures." Let's just say they started yelling for me to get back inside. I guess I wasn't setting a great example. I just couldn't believe how beautiufl they were.

YOU were outside taking pictures when there was bad weather?! Of all people Kristen! So funny! I have to admit that I was checking them out too - so fascinating!

We went outside to check them out and had to laugh because our neighbors were sitting on the top of their suburban watching the sky:)

I've got pictures of those clouds too, but I took them through the window of our great-room. I did, however, stand out front and watch the weather for a while. Tara & I left Minneapolis right before things got nasty there. I had her watching the horizon for anything awful while I kept with the pace of traffic (which was 75-80, yikes). And she had to keep answering my mobile phone from Emma at home who was freaking out and wanting us to apparate home immediately.

haha. it's true. Usually they aren't that pretty with a tornado coming...at least not in Missouri. The sky would turn an eerie slate-green color and the air would smell different. Hopefully no damage happened...?

I was peeking out the window too. So pretty. One side of the sky looked different from the other. I thought it looked like marshmallows or mashed potatoes but maybe I was just really hungry for "4th meal". Ha ha!

I can't believe the tornadoes and bad weather that have been happening all over. The clouds may be beautiful...but please stay safe. It's been windy here, too, but nothing like Missouri.
