My High School BFF...
On Friday my long time friend and High School Partner in Crime, Becky Lensing Serreyn came up to visit with her daughters. We liked to do the normal sneak out, drive around in hay fields before we got our license and normal day to day goofy for the heck of it stuff. Before texting we use to write letters back and forth between classes to update each other on what happened in the hour we were away from each other. Our Code names were Crash and Bumper, I was crash (some things never change) and our other code names were Krisco and Rebok for Kris and Rebecca. When we use to sneak out until the wee morning hours, I would always write a letter to her parents or mine, telling them exactly whose house we were at and the number to call in case they found out and were worried! (I will delete the part about sneaking out for my next book, so that Kaydree and Karsyn don't get any ideas!)
We had such great times and have great memories!
It was so nice to sit and visit and catch up. She made a 4 hour drive up with her two girls just to come hang out! Bad hair day for me... and her hair is sooooo cute, so after she left I went and got a haircut late on a Friday night and that's how it usually goes with my hair! Pictures to come...
Karsyn and Charlee with Becky's oldest daughter Rylie who is 3 months younger than Karsyn and shares a birthday with Benjy. Rylie doesn't like to have her picture taken...
Becky and her two year old daughter Addisyn in our toy room. I gave Addisyn markers and said she could write on our walls in the toy room, so she did and Becky was so worried about it. That is what it's for and that's what 2 year olds do! ;-)
It was a beautiful day and we went on a walk to the park and yes 1/2 way home I remembered I forgot my cell phone and camera at the park. I had to run back about a 1/4 mile to get them and run back in order to get Kaydree off the bus. See Beck, never a dull moment with me! I am usually good for a little entertainment and laugh! Thanks so much for coming up and making some new memories with our little ones too. I guess we are a little more reserved and responsible now....bummer! I guess that is a good thing, huh?
We had such great times and have great memories!
Four inches cut off and it feels great!

One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure...
Yesterday JoDell told me that a friend of hers had some clothes to give away and wanted to know if I was interested. I didn't even hesitate. I asked her, " How soon can I come over?"
I love these cute little buttons on these shorts.
These shorts have cute little pockets on the back!
I have a lot of Black and White in my closet, yet one can never have too much especially with these cute dresses!
I wore one of these cute little white jackets today.
My second to favorite item, this chocolate brown jacket from Banana Republic! I already have the boots to match!
Oh oh oh, look at my favorite item...this cute tweed skirt to match!
Thank you for thinking of me JoDell and guess what I will be wearing on Sunday?
When I came home so excited about my new wardrobe, I found Serena and Tayler here with some festive Halloween Sugar Cookies. Most of you know I tend to struggle with my cookie making abilities. (There is a really long story about this) Let's just say I am really good at making paper flat cookies. Any type of cookie, I can make it flat! (With the exception of Debbie Lou helping me at Christmas last year when our cookies turned out!) Well, thanks to Serena and Tayler my little family got to enjoy some great tasting, nice fluffy cookies. I think Benjy already had 3 before I got home and they are officially gone in less than 24 hours! Thanks for sharing the sweetest things in life with me and my family...

And thanks to Andrea, my blog book has arrived. It took a week and two days and I love it! If it weren't for the coupon that Andrea gave me, I know I wouldn't have even started the book yet! It is amazing how $15 motivated me to get in done on the day the coupon expired! Thanks again, Andrea for always helping me be a more productive person!
Thank you for thinking of me JoDell and guess what I will be wearing on Sunday?

At a Loss for Words and a Loss...
I was at a loss for words yesterday when I was a guest teacher at Coon Rapids High School in their music department. I know... funny huh? Some of you know, I can not sing. I can not carry a tune or hit the right note for the life of me. I was the only child in Middle School to drop out of Choir per the teacher's request. She actually told my parents that I just could not sing.Back on track to why I was at a loss for words... the Concert Choir was amazing. They had a performance last night at Bethel College that they were rehearsing for and as a Guest Teacher I was fortunate enough to get paid to listen to them perform. They sang three songs, The Gypsy Life, Ave Maria and Gloria. I was actually fighting back the tears only out of fear that they would think I was a Crazy Lady. The hairs on my arms and the back of my neck stood up! At a loss for words but something along the lines of it was so beautiful, breath taking, unbelievable, incredible and again, Amazing! What talented and respectful youth and once again, I felt like I should have purchased a ticket to hear such talent!
We had a loss in the family. Benjy cleaned the fish tank and I woke up yesterday morning to find 5 belly up guppies. I tapped the tank to see if they were just sleeping, I know desperate for hope, but nope... they were dead as doornails. I tried to hide the little tank so Kaydree wouldn't see them before school. So last night we broke the news to her, she got a little teary eyed and then Karsyn told Kaydree that she would share her beta fish, Blueberry, with her. Of course Benjy out of feeling somewhat bad and his way of dealing with things used humor! He actually asked Kaydree, who was still fighting back the tears, if she would like a tuna fish sandwich made out of guppies. She of course was completely grossed out, and really fighting back tears and now half laughing at the same time. So in one last attempt to make Kaydree laugh and out of remembrance of the guppies Benjy actually made a tuna fish sandwich with tuna instead!
